Golden Goose offers the possibility to set up a traffic back URL to make the most out of your traffic.
Imagine you’re promoting an offer from a very specific carrier in Greece. If the traffic doesn’t meet the requirements, either because it’s not from the required country or carrier or maybe it’s traffic from WiFi but you needed 3G/4G traffic. Instead of losing that money, it will simply be routed to a different offer or a smartlink to see if you can monetize it differently.
It’s very common when you’re buying traffic to receive a small percentage of traffic that doesn’t meet the requirements, even if it’s less than 5% or sometimes even just 1%.
However, you can send this traffic to another offer or simply sell it back to a network by setting up your traffic back URL on Golden Goose.
To do this, go to your account settings and then to the “postback and traffic back” settings.
In the traffic back field, input the URL you want to send the traffic to and then save your settings. A few examples of where you can send your traffic back visitors are:
You have a few tokens available in the traffic back URL where you can receive data about the traffic source or the reason why Golden Goose is sending that traffic back, which can be very useful also to help you filter your campaigns when a website or the whole traffic source isn’t sending the traffic you’re paying for.
Overall, this is a nice addition that most affiliate networks don’t have and I’m glad Golden Goose went the extra mile to create this awesome feature. Use it wisely.
